Post Adoption Service
Birth Relatives
We are able to give support to birth relatives whose family members have been adopted.
Adoptive Families
There are many factors that adoptive families face when raising their children.
We are able to give advice concerning post adoption support services, locally and nationally.
Adopted People
Some adopted people think about their birth relatives at some stage of their lives. We offer a confidential service if you wish to talk about adoption, or how to obtain information about your birth family. We can give advice about searching for birth family members and where possible act as an intermediary.
Angus Council is constantly considering ways to improve services. To assist us we are very interested to hear from children, young people or adults about their experience of adoption. If you would like to relay your experiences please contact us at Angus Council, Permanence Team, 9 Castle Street Forfar DD8 3AE, Email fosteringandadoption@angus.gov.uk or telephone the number below. We look forward to hearing from you!
Mailbox
We run a Mailbox scheme, which is a confidential way for adoptive families and birth families to exchange information on behalf of adopted children. We can offer advice and support about Mailbox.
